Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to design complex power and building systems (generator plants, MV distribution, lighting, grounding) while leading a team of electrical engineers. The role is hybrid and based in our Atlanta office with travel to sites as needed.

The ideal candidate has a PE, 7+ years in high‑performing commercial/industrial electrical design, experience with Revit, and strong communication to coordinate with internal teams, clients,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis.
• 7+ years designing electrical systems for high-performing commercial or industrial facilities.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience mentoring and training others in the field.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and codes.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality deliverables for projects and proposals.
• Lead development of initial electrical system concepts and project teams.
• Develop work plans to address technical issues within project time and budget.
• Work with multi-discipline project teams to develop drawings and specifications for architects, contractors and owners.
• Perform construction administration and coordinate with clients and vendors.
