Job summary

Lam Research in the California Bay Area seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop highly complex electrical systems for advanced etch and deposition equipment. You’ll participate in power distribution, system integration, and hardware validation, delivering reliable solutions.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, perform hands‑on tests, and present findings to stakeholders while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to ongoing R&D efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Hands‑on circuit design (analog/digital), signal/controls theory and board design.
• Strong AC/DC power distribution, system integration, and PCB design skills.
• Proficient CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (PCAD/ORCAD/ZUKEN/AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/79 and UL 508A is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex electrical systems and power distribution components.
• Contribute to R&D by collecting data to improve designs.
• Develop functional specifications for electrical/electro‑mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on component design and modification.
• Perform hands‑on tests and validate performance with lab equipment.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate design intent and results.
• Mentor junior engineers and support design reviews.
