Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking an Electrical/Controls Engineer for the Midwest Regulated & Renewable Energy Engineering Team. The role supports resolution of technical issues and engineering design for coal, natural gas, hydro, and solar facilities across the region.

The Senior Engineer develops advanced skills, manages project schedules with minimal supervision, and provides electrical system expertise, protection schemes, and instrumentation know-how to ensure safe, reliable plant

Qualifications

• Must have a BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or PE.
• Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years with PE.
• A master’s degree can substitute for a BS.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical guidance to identify, analyze and resolve problems of increasing scope.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule and monitor work activities to meet business goals.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations and sketches for defined problems.
