Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer to serve as the Distributed Controls System/Electrical System owner for Dan River CC & Rockingham CT. You will lead engineering efforts, guide others, and manage complex projects with limited supervision.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, an ABET-accredited engineering degree, and Professional Engineer registration. Onsite work with occasional travel is required, with potential relocation support.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Engineering is required.
• 8 years related work experience.
• Professional Engineer registration is required.
• A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical guidance for complex problems with long-term impact.
• Lead projects with limited standardization and coordinate cross-functional work.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and sketches; recommend process enhancements.
• Manage control/electrical system vendor contracts and on-call support.
