Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Jackson, MS team. A PE license and 8+ years of progressive electrical design experience are required to lead projects in power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications.

This role will mentor the design staff and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions. You will report to the Electrical Discipline Manager and work on private, public, and federal projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; PE license is required or ability to obtain
8+ years of technical experience in electrical design with oversight on multiple projects
Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems
Ability to provide quality oversight, technical guidance, and training for design staff

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, of all project work involving electrical engineering.
Provide technical training and development of staff.
Establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for electrical discipline area.
Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
Provide on-the-spot advice and decisions - technical and cost estimates.
Coordinate with all disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
Interface with code officials and contractors.
