Job summary

O’Brien Engineering & Architecture is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Professional Engineer with 10+ years of electrical design experience to focus on DoD and federal projects, including medical/government facilities and institutional spaces. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required, with collaboration across a multidisciplinary A/E team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Electrical design experience.
• 6+ years of Department of Defense (DOD) design experience.
• Minimum of 5 projects as DOR/EOR.
• Proficiency in understanding building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design in MEP projects with coordination across disciplines and clients.
• Attend client meetings and represent the MEP interests of the firm.
• Design systems and applications in buildings, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, civil, structural and architectural teams.
• Assist in determining and developing project scope.
• Assist in collection of field data, including directing subconsultants.
• Design of mechanical systems, including air and water side and related controls.
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses.
