Superior Skilled Trades seeks a licensed Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Baltimore, MD team. You will design, develop, and coordinate electrical systems for commercial construction projects, ensuring code compliance and integrated designs with other disciplines.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong technical expertise in electrical system design, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes at all stages of development and construction.

Qualifications

• Active PE license is required.
• 6+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in electrical system design for building construction projects.
• Experience preparing electrical drawings, specifications, engineering calculations, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with CAD and electrical design/modeling software.
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, building standards, and engineering regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations from conceptual design through construction documentation.
• Design and evaluate electrical systems in accordance with building codes, standards, and best practices.
• Prepare and review electrical engineering deliverables for accuracy and coordination.
• Utilize CAD and 3D modeling software to develop electrical drawings and models.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and contractors for coordinated designs.
• Lead construction administration activities: review shop drawings, RFIs, and site visits.
• Assist project managers with scope, cost tracking, technical coordination, and risk evaluation.
• Identify and resolve electrical design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, safety regulations, and standards.
• Support engineering best practices and professional development.
