Superior Skilled Trades is partnering with a company seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer to join their Baltimore, MD team. The role focuses on design, development and coordination of mechanical systems for commercial and complex construction projects.

You will work with senior engineers, designers and project managers to deliver code-compliant mechanical designs across all project phases, fostering innovative engineering solutions and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active PE license required.
• Minimum 4 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing HVAC, hydronic, piping and mechanical equipment systems.
• Experience preparing mechanical drawings, specs and calculations.
• Knowledge of heating/cooling loads, airflow, pipe sizing and pressure loss calculations.
• Proficiency with CAD and mechanical design software.
• Working knowledge of mechanical codes and building standards.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and construction documents.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Develop mechanical drawings, specifications and calculations from concept through to construction docs under guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist in designing HVAC, hydronic, piping and mechanical equipment systems.
• Perform calculations for heating/cooling loads, airflow, pipe sizing and pressure losses.
• Support HVAC distribution design and equipment selection.
• Use CAD/3D modeling to produce coordinated drawings.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and designers for coordinated designs.
• Assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs and site visits.
• Review designs for compliance with codes and standards.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain project records.
• Support project schedules, budgets and quality standards.
