Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with an established engineering firm to hire an experienced Electrical Engineer focused on commercial building electrical design, lighting systems, and fire alarm design. A PE license is required, and the candidate should have extensive MEP project experience and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

The role emphasizes design development using AutoCAD and Revit, QA/QC of drawings, project coordination, and leadership of project teams.

Qualifications

• PE license required.
• 12+ years of electrical engineering design experience in commercial buildings.
• Experience with electrical, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• US-based engineering consulting office experience with building MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for commercial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Prepare, review, and perform QA/QC of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to develop, coordinate, and review electrical design plans.
• Manage electrical engineering projects, including coordinating schedules, deliverables, and project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior electrical engineering staff.
• Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, electrical standards, and project specifications.
• Support project coordination and communication throughout the design and documentation process.
