Job Overview

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer or Senior Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer to serve as our National Water Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (E&IC) Leader within our Water Market Segment, supporting the growth of Dewberry’s water practice nationwide.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead the successful execution of EI&C design work on water and wastewater projects across the country.
• Engage with clients, representing EI&C for water projects, working alongside client managers.
• Coordinate workload for Water EI&C projects nationally, liaising between offices and the MEPS Infrastructure team.
• Ensure quality assurance and develop standards for consistent deliverables.
• Design electrical power systems and process instrumentation and control systems, including low voltage power distribution, motor control, lighting, and related activities.
• Provide specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and review contractor submittals.
• Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and coordinate with process engineers.
• Design control systems including SCADA, PLC, and DCS systems, laying out electrical distribution equipment, and designing lighting systems.

Qualifications

• BSc in electrical engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in design, management, and oversight of water/wastewater EI&C projects.
• PE license required; NCEES record preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
• Strong management, client engagement, and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and related codes.

Location

Preferred locations are the DC Area (Virginia/Maryland/DC) or Raleigh/Charlotte, NC, with flexibility in specific office assignment.
