Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Aston, PA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and integrate aircraft arresting electrical and control systems across hardware and software. The role is on-site, requires 5+ years experience and a US Citizen, with travel under 10%.

You will build prototypes, lead hardware/software integration, transition designs to manufacturing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to set standards for future products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical power and control systems and testing.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical and control system architectures for hardware and software.
• Develop and maintain system specifications, interface control documents, system requirements specifications, and hardware requirements specifications.
• Design the electrical power and control circuits for new production systems: power distribution, motor control, protection circuits, signal conditioning, and control panel design.
• Build proof-of-concept prototypes and lead hardware/software integration, subsystem testing, and full-system validation.
• Transition designs to manufacturing through complete design packages that enable in-house manufacturing or external sourcing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, trace, and verify system, hardware, and software requirements.
• Influence the design direction of future products by contributing to architectural standards, reusable frameworks, and system engineering best practices.
• Required travel time is less than 10%.
