Job summary

Novetus Engineering LLC in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer focused on project development and design for large oil & gas facilities. You will support across design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning to deliver safe, reliable electrical systems.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with power distribution, transformers, MCCs, and control panels; ETAP/SKM/AutoCAD/SmartPlant; and a strong grasp of NEC/IEEE/API standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with large oil & gas projects.
• Ability to write and interpret electrical equipment specs.
• Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD or SmartPlant.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical equipment specs, datasheets, and diagrams.
• Support design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure compliance.
• Perform short circuit, load flow, arc flash, and grounding studies.
• Assist troubleshooting and technical evaluations during construction.
