Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd. is seeking an accomplished senior electrical engineer for complex oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Houston, TX.

You will lead electrical design, specify and supervise deliverables, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, fabrication and construction. Required are 15+ years in electrical engineering with 10+ years in oil & gas, power generation design experience, and strong proficiency in SPEL and ETAP.

Qualifications

15+ years of detailed electrical engineering experience, including 10 years in oil & gas
5+ years of power generation design experience, including generator integration, protection studies, grounding, controls/PMS, black start
Detailed knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI standards and engineering methods
Exceptional project coordination and execution skills
In-depth technical knowledge of the detailed design engineering process
Advanced experience with SPEL, ETAP, MS Office Suite (Excel/Word)
US Citizen or Green Card holder

Responsibilities

Prepare and supervise development of key project deliverables (datasheets, load lists, diagrams)
Lead electrical engineering projects and coordinate with inter-discipline teams
Manage vendor packages for substations, transformers, and electrical materials
Coordinate FAT/SAT activities and field support during construction and commissioning
