Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Oil & Gas group. Responsible for engineering design and analysis under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. Position can be remote within the Odessa/Midland, TX area with on-site opportunities as needed.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, FE licensure, 7+ years of experience, and proficiency with PSSE, PSCAD, ETAP, and SKM. Salary range advertised with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (electric power option preferred).
• FE licensure is required; PE preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Experience with medium/low voltage distribution and protection & control schemes.
• Familiarity with substation electrical design and oil & gas market sector.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power systems including diagrams, SCADA, conduits, and grounding for substations and power projects.
• Perform power system studies: short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash, motor starting.
• Develop relay settings and protective schemes; test and wire relays and controls.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, proposals, and technical reports.
• Support FAT, commissioning activities, and field troubleshooting as needed.
