Job summary

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year engineering degree or global equivalent, with 10+ years of related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Nuclear power plant design experience and familiarity with NRC regulations (preferred).
• Professional registration or certification in the field (preferred).
• Intermediate computer skills: word processing, email, spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop specifications for Electrical Equipment and Design Criteria for Electrical Design.
• Design and specify pre-fabricated Electrical Buildings and purchase details.
• Design DC Power Systems with batteries and DC switchgear.
• Develop and review estimates, schedules, and workforce forecasts.
• Establish, track and forecast material quantities; provide analysis.
• Review specifications and design criteria; participate in procurement and subcontracting.
• Perform and check calculations; specify equipment for complex engineering problems.
• Mentor and develop training materials; conduct seminars and provide appraisal input.
• Analyze problems and provide independent, organization-aligned recommendations.
