Job summary

Nordson Corporation in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to define, design, test, document, and release new products for Nordson Electronic Solutions. Qualifications

• Requires a BS Electrical Engineering degree plus 4–7 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience.
• Altium designer experience or equivalent is required.
• Experience with sensors, measuring devices, control systems, and automation is preferred.
• Phase-gate & project management experience is preferred.
• Experience developing & launching new products is a plus.
• Experience with customer interactions and factory visits is a plus.
• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system, SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical aspects of our products including electrical and control systems for fluid applicators & fluid management systems, automation machines, and interfaces with customers’ line control processes.
• Develop and execute test plans that provide data proving designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Follow phase-gate process, nVision, and plan milestones and cost targets on-time with quality.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Software engineering to integrate designs into a cohesive product meeting performance requirements.
• Coordinate with product line management to develop and review specifications.
• Support manufacturing by designing products for production and by training for prototype builds and beta versions.
• Participate in VOC discussions with customers as required.
