Job summary

Nordson EFD is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer for its East Providence, Rhode Island location. You will contribute to electro-mechanical product development with embedded systems, real-time control, and digital communication interfaces in a collaborative, global team.

The role emphasizes circuit design, firmware familiarity, and hands-on responsibility for schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts using industry tools; a BS in Electrical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience launching electro-mechanical products with embedded systems, real time control and digital communication interfaces.
• Proficient in designing circuits for actuators, digital communications, EMC/safety compliance and sensor data acquisition that include microcontrollers, FPGA's or SBC's or SOM's.
• Expertise in circuit simulation, schematic capture, BOM creation, and PCB layouts using OrCAD (with EDM) or similar CAD software with integrated design data management capabilities.
• Familiarity with firmware development.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a global team.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
