Dunaway Associates, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design for municipal infrastructure projects, including pump stations, power distribution, backup power systems, controls, and SCADA‑related systems.

The role requires coordinating with civil engineers, utilities, contractors and stakeholders, performing QA/QC, and mentoring junior engineers to ensure technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• P.E. license in Texas required.
• 6+ years of electrical engineering experience in municipal/utility projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Design and review power distribution, generators, motor controls, and SCADA systems.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, utilities, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Perform technical reviews and QA/QC of deliverables.
• Support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Provide construction-phase support including RFIs and site visits.
• Mentor junior engineers and build client relationships.
