Job summary

GBA in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design mission-critical power systems for data centers and telecom facilities. You will lead electrical design teams from concept through construction and mentor junior engineers.

You will coordinate with architects, vendors, and clients to ensure reliability, safety, and NEC/compliance. This role offers visibility into technical decisions and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of related electrical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership for electrical design teams on new construction and renovation projects.
• Design electrical power systems including switchboards, generators, automatic transfer switches (ATSs), UPS systems, and associated critical infrastructure.
• Develop medium- and low-voltage power generation and distribution systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations and support arc flash, coordination, and short-circuit studies.
• Coordinate directly with clients, owners, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide mentoring and development for engineers and designers.
• Ensure solutions meet applicable codes and standards throughout design and construction.
