Job summary

WSP USA seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical design and infrastructure projects in a multi-site environment. You will guide concept development through construction, ensuring code compliance and data integrity across phases.

The role requires 5–7 years of post-education experience, strong NEC/ICC/IECC knowledge, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with leadership and QA/QC emphasis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5 to 7 years post-education experience as an electrical engineer.
• Engineer in Training Certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, ICC, IECC.
• Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with project management on small to mid-size projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex new construction, renovation, and electrical infrastructure projects with design plan approvals.
• Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques across concept to operation phases.
• Prepare electrical calculations including loads, short circuits, and protective relaying.
• Lead MEP projects, manage budgets, hours, expenses, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate plans with owners, disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
• Design fire alarm systems and lighting control systems.
• Perform load, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
