Job summary

NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services seeks a Design & Project Management professional to deliver comprehensive project management and design support for space planning and renovations across city agency facilities.

The role requires four years of electrical engineering experience and a New York State Professional Engineer license. Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience, with responsibilities spanning coordination of leases, renovations, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of full-time electrical engineering experience.
• New York State Professional Engineer license; NYS registration must be maintained.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and reviews site evaluations and scopes of work for City Agency relocations and renewals in leased spaces.
• Reviews the preparation of contract documents and specifications for the construction of new spaces and alteration of existing spaces, based on approved plans and lease terms.
• Performs construction project management and develops project deliverables for leased spaces.
• Maintains schedules and project information.
• Supervises staff in accordance with Asset Management procedures.
• Engineering design services for in-house projects.
• Review of bid submittals for projects in leased property to ensure inclusion of all required engineering scope of work.
• Oversight and review of engineering related change order scopes of work for coordination with estimators and project managers.
