Job summary

Arthrex, Inc. in Santa Barbara, CA, seeks a Sr. Engineer II (Electrical) – Product Development to own full life-cycle development of medical devices from initiation to maintenance on site at the Santa Barbara campus.

The role emphasizes designing electronic subsystems, adhering to design controls, and collaborating with Marketing, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 8 years of experience required.
• Ability to travel to trade shows and accounts; international travel may be required.
• Must adhere to Arthrex design controls and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic sub-systems and modify existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
• Leads electrical design for multifunctional new product project teams, adhering to project timeline and budget.
• Provides design history file support per Arthrex design control procedures.
• Provides regulatory electrical technical support for assigned projects as needed.
• Supports Marketing and Product Management with electrical technical information for training and marketing of products.
• Supports Manufacturing with processing improvements.
• Trains surgeon and distributor customers on electrical aspects of products as needed.
