Job summary

KFI Engineers, a leader in facility infrastructure design, seeks an Electrical Engineer III to deliver technically excellent solutions from concept to project closeout. You will guide electrical design for power, lighting, and special systems while ensuring clear communication with clients and internal teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, involvement in proposals, and consistent delivery of high-quality engineering work within a dynamic IPA team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• US work authorization for permanent employment.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience since graduation.
• PE certification or willingness to pursue this designation.
• Experience designing electrical systems for building projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of power distribution systems, motor feeders, and motor starters/drives.
• Support design of building general power, HVAC and lighting systems.
• Evaluate power distribution and plan expansions.
• Perform voltage drop and short-circuit calculations; arc-fault analysis with SKM.
• Prepare engineering docs and equipment specifications.
• Coordinate work with other departments, project team, and contractors.
• Other duties as assigned.
