Job summary

NV5 LNG Engineering in Portsmouth, NH seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for LNG and natural gas projects from FEED through commissioning. You will coordinate with engineers, clients, contractors, and vendors to deliver robust electrical solutions at industrial scale.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a BSEE, knowledge of low-voltage to 4160V systems, ETAP proficiency, and a PE license or plans to obtain one within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, design, construction, commissioning, consulting, manufacturing, industrial facilities, energy, or related industries.
• Experience designing and supporting low-voltage power distribution systems, MCCs, and related equipment.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, equipment, facilities, and components for LNG and natural gas processes.
• Develop deliverables: one-line diagrams, power distribution drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment specs, calculations.
• Coordinate CAD designers to produce accurate engineering documents.
• Prepare equipment specifications and procurement requisitions.
• Review vendor quotations, drawings, and submittals per codes and standards.
• Lead FAT and site commissioning activities.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical and control systems.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, and plant startup with travel around 10% per year.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain schedules.
