Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Houston to lead electrical discipline work on complex power, LNG, gas processing and petrochemical projects. You will produce drawings, Bills of Material, and specs while acting as Engineer of Record and supervising a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires extensive on-site construction experience, travel up to 10%, and strong proficiency with SPEL, ETAP, CDEGS, and vessel electrical compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus 10 years in related occupation.
• 8 years of industry experience with an EPC contractor.
• Experience on LNG, gas processing, refinery or petrochemical projects.
• On-site construction experience required; leadership on mid to large projects (> $300M).
• Experience with SPEL, ETAP, CDEGS and MS Office; knowledge of vessel electrical compliance to major classifications.
• Canadian P.Eng certification for Canadian projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering work on power, oil/gas and petrochemical projects.
• Produce drawings and Bills of Material, develop specs, and purchase equipment.
• Act as Engineer of Record for the Electrical Discipline and supervise engineers, designers and drafters.
• Travel to facilities to verify equipment configuration and ensure compliance with specs; review lighting calculations and wiring.
• Review and approve panel schedules, main electrical, and vendor coordination; assist in umbilical system design.
