Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking an experienced leader to guide complex electrical engineering efforts across multidisciplinary teams. You will oversee design documents, system layouts, and specifications while mentoring junior staff and shaping technical strategy.

You will communicate with clients, resolve design challenges, and contribute to business development. PE/EOR qualifications are preferred, with a strong emphasis on standards compliance and professional responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for EOR’s (must at least be pursuing PE)
• Advanced to expert proficiency in electrical engineering design, applicable codes and standards, Revit, Bluebeam, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects.
• Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Develop solutions to advanced and highly complex engineering problems, providing discipline-wide technical guidance.
• Serve as a mentor and coach across teams and practices, including supervising less experienced designers and engineers.
• Participate in or lead staffing recommendations, training initiatives, and technical strategy development.
• Provide quality oversight, including conducting and/or issuing final quality reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Communicate with clients, resolve conflicts, and provide leadership in responding to technical questions or design challenges.
• Lead or support strategic business development efforts and maintain key client and partner relationships.
• Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned, ensuring technical accuracy, accountability, and adherence to professional standards.
