Job summary

NV5's Cary, NC office has a great opportunity for a senior level electrical engineer to support our Planning and Design Group. This position requires a candidate with strong leadership and expertise in executing and managing the electrical design of complex projects in the pharmaceutical and laboratory facility design field, including clean room design experience.

PE is required. Must be able to commit to a hybrid work schedule with at least 3 days in the Cary, NC office.

Qualifications

• PE license required.
• Ten years of independent electrical design and project management experience.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and manage electrical design of complex pharma and lab projects.
• Provide weekly updates to project managers on status, budget, and schedule.
• Generate calculations, equipment specs, drawings, and construction drawings.
• Maintain familiarity with industry standards, codes, and cGMP standards.
• Develop proposals and client presentations.
• Travel to sites ~15–20% of the time.
