PAE, an engineering and design firm, is seeking a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer in Portland, OR to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-quality electrical design from concept to construction. The role combines technical leadership with project planning, budgeting, and client engagement.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and a professional credential (PE, CPD, or similar).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of industry experience
• Professional credential in the discipline (PE, CPD, RCDD, etc.)
• Significant management or leadership experience
• Inspire and motivate staff
• Lead and manage projects successfully and profitably

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and manage budgets for electrical design projects
• Provide technical leadership as Lead Engineer or Engineer of Record
• Prepare deliverables including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specs
• Improve technical operations and processes
• Develop client relationships and engage in business development
• Mentor staff and enforce the Quality Management Plan
• Apply engineering judgment from concept through construction
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards
• Oversee design calculations and equipment selection
• Communicate design options to stakeholders
