Job summary

Unknown company is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer in Torrance, CA to design and develop electrical systems for aerospace applications. The role focuses on DO-160, EMI/EMC, and power electronics with leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities include leading projects from concept to completion, creating schematics, and mentoring junior engineers in cross-functional teams. Hybrid possibilities exist based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience; 12+ years preferred in circuit design, integration, testing, and analysis.
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS NG and ELM.
Strong background in circuit design, simulation, troubleshooting, power electronics, EMI filtering, and electrical analysis.
U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder) required for export compliance.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for advanced engineering applications.
Perform electrical, power, filter, and EMI analysis, including DO-160 lightning and filter design activities.
Lead electrical engineering projects from concept through completion, including PDR development and presentations.
Create schematic designs, support PBA layouts, generate BOMs, and troubleshoot electrical hardware issues.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
