Job summary

Fountain Services in Spindale, NC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead and strengthen our engineering department behind major commercial and industrial electrical construction projects throughout the Southeast. This role focuses on people leadership, technical guidance, problem-solving, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will lead a team of approximately 8–10 engineering professionals while collaborating with Project Management, Estimating, VDC/BIM, Field Operations,

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering and/or commercial or industrial electrical construction experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineering professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop an Engineering team of approximately 8–10 professionals.
• Establish priorities and assign engineering resources based on project schedules and workloads.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to engineers and project teams.
• Review engineering deliverables for accuracy, constructability, and field usability.
• Support engineers in resolving complex design, coordination, and construction challenges.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Engineering team.
• Work with Executive Leadership to develop the Engineering Department and support company growth.
