Job summary

CMTA, Inc., a Legence company, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with 8+ years of experience to design and oversee electrical systems for diverse projects. The role focuses on power distribution, lighting, controls, emergency power, UPS, renewables, fire alarm, and low-voltage coordination.

Based onsite at the Cincinnati office, you’ll collaborate with engineers to deliver energy-efficient buildings for CMTA’s clients.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of MEP design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with internal and external project management.
• Experience with MEP design and specifications.
• Experience managing Owner and Architect relationships.
• Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors.
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors.
• Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers.
• Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Professionally stamp drawings, prepare affidavits, etc.
• Interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication. Lead and guide meetings as needed.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
• Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements.
• Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements.
• Research and analyze clients design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
• Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.
