Job summary

Forj Medical is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, implement and test real-time embedded medical device systems. You will lead cross-functional work to bring concepts through development into production, acting with minimal supervision on major projects.

The role emphasizes analog/digital design, sensor interfaces, PCB development and hardware verification, with opportunities to mentor other engineers and contribute to project planning within a regulatory framework.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics.
• 6–9 years with BS; or 3–6 years with MS.
• Experience with analog/digital circuit design and embedded systems.
• Proven ability to document designs clearly.
• Medical device experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Digital and/or analog electronic design and development of embedded systems.
• Component and/or system-level electronic design and test.
• PCB development, build and test.
• Design and test hardware architectures for new products of moderate/high complexity.
• Sensor interfaces including A/D conversion and filtering.
• Hardware verification testing.
• Participate in requirements, planning and design reviews.
• Write design specifications and assist with EMC/IEC 60601-1 testing.
• Mentor other engineers and support project estimates.
