Job summary

Dewberry’s Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural (MEPS) team in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical guidance and mentoring to design resources. You will work with a team of engineers on healthcare and commercial projects, coordinating with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.

The role involves acting as Engineer of Record, reviewing designs, and guiding staff to meet client desires and budgets

Qualifications

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
7+ years of progressive electrical design experience for healthcare and commercial projects.
Experience managing multiple projects with ability to meet client specs and budgets.
Strong written and verbal communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Technical guidance and quality oversight of electrical engineering work.
Technical training and development of staff.
Establish and improve standards, practices, guidelines, and specs for electrical discipline.
Engineer of Record on assigned projects.
Coordinate with disciplines and outside consultants; interface with code officials and contractors.
