Job summary

MEP Building Systems in Boston / MetroWest is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead building systems design for projects across New England. This role is built for a licensed PE who wants technical leadership, variety in project types, and a collaborative culture focused on professional growth.

You will design and deliver electrical systems for commercial, municipal, healthcare, industrial, and institutional facilities, and play a key role throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license preferred/required (licensed PE).
• Eight or more years of electrical building systems design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and create one-line diagrams.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and project teams.
• Manage construction administration including site visits and reviews.
• Ensure QA/QC to maintain technical excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical decisions.
• Interact with clients and present solutions.
