Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Rochester/Buffalo area to perform advanced design work and make independent technical decisions on building system projects.

The role requires a PE license or EIT status, a BS degree, and about eight years of project engineering experience, with Revit proficiency. Travel up to 25% may be required; base salary ranges from 87,360 to 120,000 USD per year.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
• Eight years of relevant project engineering experience.
• Revit experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct complex engineering assignments requiring independent judgment.
• Supervise, coordinate, and review work of Engineers, Designers, and CAD Operators.
• Develop technical reports, studies, and system analyses.
• Evaluate substitute equipment and review system adjustments after installation.
• Represent the firm in meetings and coordinate across all trades.
• Perform engineering designs, calculations, and evaluations with advanced techniques.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project technical leadership.
