Job summary

AECOM seeks a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead and develop teams across projects in Chicago or Detroit. You will design electrical power and lighting, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to deliver complex infrastructure projects. Must hold a PE license and US citizenship.

This hybrid role allows up to two days remote, with relocation possible and a focus on quality control, client relations, and scalable design solutions for corporate, healthcare, and federal sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with 6+ years of related design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• A valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams to complete projects
• Design electrical power and lighting for projects of all sizes
• Plan design work, calculate costs, and prepare schedules
• Coordinate design with architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, and suppliers
• Prepare proposals and presentations and maintain client relations
• Quality control and maintain project documentation
