Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead and develop teams in Chicago or Detroit, delivering electrical power and lighting designs for diverse projects. You’ll coordinate with multiple disciplines and guide junior staff, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The role requires strong communication, critical thinking, and a proactive client-facing approach. It’s a hybrid position with relocation available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with six years of related design experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
US Citizenship required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop teams to complete projects of varying sizes.
Complete electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes.
Plan design work, estimate costs, and assign duties to junior staff.
Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other disciplines.
Present proposals to clients and maintain relationships.
