Job summary

The Advanced Manufacturing Company of America seeks a hands-on leader to oversee its electrical engineering function across design, build, and test for flight-critical hardware, including avionics and power electronics. You will establish engineering standards, mentor a team, and drive projects from concept to production.

In this role you will partner with mechanical and software teams to deliver integrated hardware systems while ensuring compliance with DO-160 and MIL-STD frameworks,

Qualifications

• Experience taking aerospace/defense hardware from concept through flight qualification and into production.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and ability to develop technical talent.
• Hands-on debugging and bench work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and related qualification frameworks.
• Independent, proactive thinker who can trade off complexity under schedule pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team across design, build, and test.
• Hire, develop, and retain electrical engineers and test engineers.
• Set technical standards, design review processes, and best practices across the discipline.
• Mentor engineers and foster ownership, rigor, and speed.
• Partner with mechanical, software, and build engineering to deliver integrated hardware systems.
• Contribute to the electrical product roadmap with program management and leadership.
• Translate customer requirements into executable engineering plans.
