Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in electrical/automation fields.
• 6+ years related engineering experience.
• Expertise with AutoCAD Electrical or E-Plan design software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Functional Safety and Risk Assessment experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation.
• Laser equipment knowledge is a plus.
• Troubleshooting complex systems (motion controllers, I/O, pneumatics).
• Strong verbal and written technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain industrial controls for standard and custom IPG systems.
• Evaluate and optimize cost of controls during development.
• Perform and document risk assessments during design.
• Collaborate with Simulation, Design and Project teams to complete tasks.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional design reviews.
• Maintain project records and schedules.
• Lead cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement across the company.
• Ensure compliance with UL/CE/NFPA/CSA standards.
