Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on the Justice + Civic sector in Nashville. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to produce construction documents and manage schedules, while aligning with client expectations.

The role includes business development and collaboration with architects and engineers to deliver integrated designs. You will apply expertise in electrical systems, lighting, smoke control, and security within justice facilities, ensuring high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with 15+ years’ experience in building systems relevant to Justice + Civic.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams and managing budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects and staff across regions, ensuring design criteria are met.
• Ensure design quality through reviews and client coordination.
• Oversee project execution with budget, schedule, and scope alignment.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and status reporting to stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings with staff, clients, vendors, and consultants.
• Contribute to business development through RFP responses and client interactions.
• Lead design efforts on high-impact justice facilities.
