Job summary

Orbital is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in a HYBRID role based in Hammond, IN to provide technical leadership on industrial electrical projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with mechanical, civil, and process teams, and deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective solutions for clients in steel, power, refining, oil & gas, petrochemical, and manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

• PE license and B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• Expertise in medium- and low-voltage power systems.
• Experience with substations, switchgear, MCCs, and protective relaying.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept through commissioning.
• Develop electrical deliverables and calculations (load flow, arc flash).
• Prepare data sheets, RFQs, bid evaluations, and equipment recommendations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and conduct design reviews.
• Support client meetings and business development initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure code compliance.
