Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Industrial Center of Excellence (CoE) within our Property & Buildings – Industrial team. This role can sit in multiple locations across the U.S. and will contribute to high-performance electrical design for complex industrial facilities.

You will design power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems, prepare construction documents, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams from planning through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5–7 years of electrical design experience in industrial sectors.
• EIT certification required.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, IEEE codes.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical design for industrial projects (manufacturing, life sciences, semiconductor).
• Design power distribution, lighting, and emergency power systems.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and calculations.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, structural, plumbing, and controls engineers.
• Support site visits and field investigations to verify implementation.
• Assist with code reviews and ensure NEC, NFPA, IEEE compliance.
• Support QA/QC to maintain standards.
• Contribute to scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables with project managers.
