Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group represents a growing, employee-owned engineering firm in the Burlington, VT area seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design from basis of design through construction and startup.

The role requires a PE (Electrical) license or ability to obtain Vermont registration, and hands-on experience with industrial and semiconductor facilities. This is an on-site position located in Burlington, with opportunities to mentor staff and advance in the organization.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical) with Vermont registration or ability to obtain it.
• Experience with NEC and NFPA 70E.
• Experience running power system studies in SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
• Semiconductor facility experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution for industrial and critical facilities, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting and lighting control, standby generation, and fire alarm.
• Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Prepare one-lines, load calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers on integrated facility designs.
• Support construction administration, including submittal and RFI review and site visits.
• Review and seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
