Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and execution of complex industrial projects across the United States. You will collaborate with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and engineering teams to deliver robust electrical solutions from concept through startup.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical design for industrial or refrigerated facilities, strong knowledge of power distribution, and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of electrical design experience
• Experience with industrial, food manufacturing or refrigerated facilities
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and codes
• Ability to assemble bid sets and liaise with design professionals

Responsibilities

• Work with clients, external designers and internal engineers during conceptual and final design to develop electrical plans and narratives
• Take-offs of electrical scopes for budgets or GMPs
• Assist with bidding electrical scopes and coordinating with subcontractors
• Review designs and shop drawings for conformance with design intent
• Provide technical advice to DB team and support regulatory approvals
• Monitor subcontractor work and enforce schedule and quality standards
• Travel as needed to project sites and client meetings
