Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to lead electrical design for complex building projects. You will have two career paths (Technical or Project Management) while overseeing analysis, design, and implementation with budget accountability and client interaction.

The role emphasizes mentoring, quality control, collaboration with architects, engineers, and PMs, and advancing energy-efficient design in line with industry standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE license required.
• 7 years minimum experience; 8 preferred in building design consulting.
• Knowledge of IES standards and reference materials.
• MasterSpec editing proficiency; eSPECS; proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu.
• Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others.
• Quality control across designs; client relationships.
• Strong communication and teamwork; MS Office proficiency.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for electrical systems; create designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Perform site assessments and generate analyses and technical reports.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Provide in-process design reviews of electrical designs and project correspondence.
• Implement IMEG quality control processes; meet client requirements.
• Train, mentor, and motivate staff.
• Address field issues with limited senior staff support.
• Stay current on industry trends and innovations; contribute to R&D.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in project interviews and presentations.
