Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead hands-on electrical, automation, and process-control systems in a manufacturing setting.

You will design, maintain, troubleshoot and optimize plant power and control systems, ensuring NEC/NFPA compliance and supporting capital projects from concept to startup. The role requires strong PLC/automation/instrumentation knowledge, plus the ability to coordinate with Operations, Maintenance and outside contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–10+ years of industrial electrical power, controls or automation experience.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical system design.
• Strong PLC, automation, instrumentation and industrial power-distribution knowledge.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with production, maintenance, engineering and outside contractors.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, EasyPower or related engineering software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, troubleshoot and optimize Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, Siemens SIMATIC S7/TIA Portal and Mitsubishi PLC systems.
• Configure, integrate and maintain Yokogawa DCS.
• Maintain SCADA interfaces, HMI screens and data historians.
• Perform loop checks, calibration oversight and logic tuning for process controls.
• Coordinate automation software/hardware upgrades and network communications.
• Oversee electrical power-distribution systems, substations and infrastructure.
• Lead capital projects from feasibility through startup.
• Develop and review electrical equipment specifications and drawings.
• Create and maintain P&IDs, one-line diagrams, schematics and control philosophy documentation using AutoCAD.
• Manage vendor bids, change orders and contractors.
• Provide troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis for complex systems.
