Job summary

Soap Creek Resources seeks an experienced electrical/automation engineer to design, develop, and manage industrial control projects. You will own projects from concept to completion, work with cross‑functional teams, and ensure safety, quality, and on‑time delivery in a global manufacturing setting.

The role requires hands-on PLC programming, HMI development, and familiarity with major platforms. Strong coding, CAD, and standards knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Working knowledge of UL/CSA/CE codes and standards.
• Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or B&R.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and support safe operation of process and automation control systems.
• Create master plans, automation strategies, and software configurations; troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Source, evaluate, and recommend vendors and automation components.
• Write, debug, and maintain multi-station PLC code, including device drivers.
• Program HMI devices and design associated interface circuitry.
• Determine power and load requirements and identify system limitations.
• Design logic systems for sequence and timing control.
• Draft diagrams for cable connections and electrical layouts.
