Job summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. in Fulton, MD, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with at least ten years of experience to lead electrical design and project teams for diverse clients, including government and commercial sectors.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit, with strong communication skills and a track record in budgeting, scheduling, and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (required).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering and design.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Project Management experience and/or certifications.
• Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams.
• Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus.
• Active local industry involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design of electrical systems for multiple concurrent projects.
• Manage and design multiple concurrent projects with budget and schedule control.
• Interpret technical drawings with strong analytical skills.
• Lead design team efforts and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop fee and qualification-based proposals.
• Engage in marketing/business development activities.
