Job summary

Ardurra, a leading engineering firm, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Cherry Hill, NJ team. The ideal candidate will lead electrical design for large-scale commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, focusing on power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems, while mentoring junior staff.

This leadership role requires coordinating across architects and MEP engineers, managing scope, schedule, and budgets, and ensuring NEC/IBC/IECC/NFPA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline required.
• 6+ years of experience.
• PE license required or the ability to pursue one.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and mentor staff.
• Experience with engineering design software including SKM.
• Experience with Lighting Design and Photometric Software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead design of electrical systems for large-scale projects.
• Apply design expertise in power distribution, grounding, lighting, and control systems.
• Act as Project Manager for electrical components of multi-discipline projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Interface with architects, MEP engineers, project managers, and clients for coordination.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IBC, IECC.
• Perform QA/QC of drawings and specifications.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits.
