Job summary

Sphinx Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a Irvine, CA hybrid role with a growing design-build firm. You will design electrical systems for large-scale commercial and industrial projects and collaborate with project teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–11+ years of experience, familiarity with Revit, and a PE license is preferred. You will mentor junior engineers and help ensure design quality, schedules, and budgets are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related electrical engineering experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and common engineering software.
• Strong grasp of engineering/design software and automated design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, receptacles, and all electrical systems for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
• Contribute to project design concepts and criteria.
• Analyze complex design problems and develop new techniques/procedures.
• Consult with construction teams on constructability.
• Monitor project progress for accuracy, schedule, and budget.
• Represent projects at client meetings and industry events.
• Potentially lead design engineering activities on large or multi-discipline projects.
• Mentor and direct junior team members.
